SYH Sport Horses x CT Academy Training Camp Bulgaria 2024: An experience that leaves a lasting impact!

From the 11th to the 13th of March, the Boutique Complex Trakiets in Bulgaria became a centre of equestrian mastery during the first-ever Training Camp in the country, organized by SYH Sport Horses & CT Academy.  We extend again our deepest gratitude to all the organizations, participants, and instructors, who collectively made this event a resounding and memorable success.

For these three days filled with activities, riders had the unique chance to improve their skills, gain experience from experts, and enjoy a community atmosphere. Both the participants and their horses flourished in this space dedicated to improving performance, building relationships, and enjoying the journey. Let's dive into the details that made this camp an unforgettable event for the equestrian sport in Bulgaria:

Technical Training

The technical training sessions, skilfully conducted by the trainers of CT Academy, including the technical manager, Matteo Giunti, were of extraordinary value. The sessions took place in two distinct settings - the classroom and the arena. In the classroom, riders received a comprehensive overview and strategies for the practice ahead. Moving to the arena, practical sessions were split into polework, gymnastics, and jumping courses.

This combination of preparation and reflection maximized learning outcomes and ensured that every rider left with a deeper understanding of their equestrian skills.

Mental Coaching

The mental coaching provided by Manuela Caputi proved to be a game-changer. In a cozy conference room, small groups went through into the significance of a strong mental approach to equestrian sports. The first day set the tone with an introductory talk on the importance of mental strength. Over the following days, theoretical insights and practical exercises combined to equip participants with the tools to sharpen their focus, build resilience, and enhance their competitive edge.

Athletic training

Physical ability is as crucial as technical skill in the saddle, and the camp's athletic training segment addressed this head on. Conducted in small, manageable groups, the athletic training kicked off with an overview of how fitness impacts riding. During the next days, riders engaged in specific workouts, designed to target and improve the muscles and reflexes used while riding. This specific approach showed participants how to transfer gym-acquired strength directly to their riding, upgrading their physical presence and control.

A camp of growth and connection

It was clear by the end of these three days that every participant, from beginners to more seasoned riders, had gained a lot of knowledge from the camp — not only in their technical abilities but also in their mental preparation and physical fitness. This training camp also made a significant and positive contribution to the equestrian sport in Bulgaria as a whole, showing how dedication to training in every aspect can lead to remarkable progress for riders of all levels.

As we reflect on the successes and joy of this event, we're already looking forward to future opportunities to come together, grow, and celebrate the profound connection between horse and rider.
